The almost uncontrolled growth of Tower blocks on the skyline is in danger of changing the London that we all love. The horizon belongs to us all and so the London Plan will be amended to ensure that no buildings over 6 storeys in height can be built except for in five well planned areas. Each of those areas must a have a current design plan in place to ensure that those tall buildings that are built do not detract from the beauty of London’s skyline.
The five tall building areas are: Nine Elms, City of London, Canary Wharf, Croydon Town Centre and one other to be bid for by the London Boroughs.
